When zombies attack: Mathematical model of the spread of zombie infection.

Smith is professor of mathematics faculty of medicine at the University of Ottawa. Worked studying mathematical models of different types of viral infections in different parts of the world, including malaria, Chagas disease and West Nile virus diseases transmitted from animals and insects travez.

The article was published in Chapter 4 of the book "Modelling Infectious Disease Research Progress" and basically what it does is present this graphic:
where S is the susceptible, ie, the living alive. Z are the zombies, ie the living dead and R are removed, the dead are dead. Throughout the article explains the chart and its implications and practical effects in the event of a possible real epidemic.
